problems with capture
When I try to capture video from DV (with firewire) the system freezes. I have video in the log & capture window but when I hit capture the system shows the first frame and freezes.
Before the system captures I get a black square with the apple logo (wich is normal, I know) and the message ‘allocating disk memory’. What does that mean?
I run FCP HD on a powerbook, 36GB of free disk space.Thanks

Don’t use capture NOW.
Try logging an IN-point and OUT-Point, enter a Clip Name and Log the clip(s) first.
Then capture with “Clip” or “Batch”.See if that works better.
