Problems with Avid part 1 =)
Heya,
I’m new to Cow forums so listen up!
I always have a problem with my Avid Xpress pro (think its 5.2.4 or something)
anyways… when i import AVI files into my Bin they Transfer and then all i get is a big white screen with no sound,or i get a white screen with sound…Does Avid know how to use AVI?
or is there any other option i can use?i did try to encode it do MOV or anything else but i always louse the Quality of my video file…

Have you tried an application like MPEG Streamclip to transcode to a QT wrapped Avid DNxHD codec and then bring it in?

Do a Google search on MPEG Streamclip and you will find it. Its made by squared5.
