I’m editing a sequence at 24fps but a couple of scenes were shot by mistake at 60fps. I have been working with this material for three years without issue, I did not modify the clips but they played fine in the 24fps timeline all this time. All of a sudden now I’m getting tons of error messages and the material shows up in the project window and timeline as if it has audio but there is no waveform and no audio.

I tried to import the files fresh and same problem. I went back to old projects, same issue. I did go into the project and modified several of the clips from 60fps to 23.976 (Modify-Interpret) but that didn’t help either.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sometimes a work-around is easier than trying to diagnose.

Have you tried creating a new sequence that plays the audio, then exporting that out to the 23.976 frame speed? Or create an entirely new project, drop the clip onto a new sequence, make sure the frame speed is correct and export the audio as either a 24.976 video or as a WAV file. Then use in your project.
