    Hi,

I’m having issues with audio in FCP 7, namely any type of audio that I add to my timeline (other than aiff) FCP will not play or render, it just shows the thin red indicator of what isn’t rendered at the top of the timeline.

I’ve tried going to render> all, render> only etc but to no avail. I’m having to work around by converting every audio file I use to aiff but I’d much rather the issue get fixed.

Any ideas? Operating on a 2010 27″ iMac I believe.

    Thanks in advance.

Solution…convert it to AIFF 48K 16bit. There are some formats that will render, and others that just won’t. But audio converts very quickly, and if you do it first, then you won’t need to render ever single time you make and edit or adjustment to audio.
