    Hi

I am running Adobe Premiere CS6

and For some reason recently it has started to play up

I have Mac Pro 8 core (late 2009), with 28 Gig Ram

Quadro pro 4000 card latest driver,

every thing was running fine fr about 10 months but in the last few weeks when i load a project up it starts not playing the footage only the sound plays now and the preview windows have this wierd artefacts thing going on where it takes my files from the finder window screws them up and throws them on the screen (see attached)

Anyone know how I can resolve this please?

do a google search for resetting cs6 preferences.

you hold a key down while launching it…not sure which one.

also before that, do a repair permissions in mac disk utility.

You can delete your preferences by holding down Shift+Option (Alt+Option for Win) when launching Premiere.

Another idea would be deleting your media cache. You can do this by trashing your Media Cache and Media Cache Files folder found here:

    /Users/dmglab/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common

Keep in mind Premiere Pro will automatically recreates them when you reopen the project.

You should also double check that the graphics card drivers that you have are compatible with the OS that you’re running. You may need to roll back to a previous driver build in order to be compatible on your OS.
