  Problems with 2-pass VBR and Compressor 2?

  FCP 5 and DVDSP 4; dv format, NTSC

  An article by Larry Jordan on one of the basic FCP sites (this one?) states, “Compressor 2 has problems with both motion estimation and 2-pass VBR. If you are using Compressor 2 make sure to select 1-pass VBR Better and set Motion Estimate to Better. Using Best settings creates very poor video.”

  But others tell me they have experienced no problems with double pass.

  Please advise.
