    Hello there.

I am eager to buy the PHYX Keyer Plugin Suite, but even after seeing the tutorial videos I can’t get anything but very poor results.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, but can’t see what it is. I am using the TRIAL version 5.2 now, but really need to buy it.

    Here are some details:

    1 – I am using Adobe Premiere Pro V 7.2.1
    2 – Under Mac OSX Yosemite V 10.10

I attach some image that shows the best I could get until now.

What am I doing wrong? I already have tried all the possible configurations on the plugin, and these are the best I could get after trying all the possibilities.

Can somebody please help me on this?

Thank you so much in advance.

What is your prior experience with keying?

Are you trying to do everything, including the hair with a single instance of the plugin?

David, thank you for answering me.

I am not an expert in keying, I use a technique abour 1 year now. And yes I know I can use multiple instances of a plugin.

but in this case all the tutorials I saw it is just a single click and after that one or two minor adjustments do get it right.

in my case I cant get it right my no way, not even close!

thats why I am feeling lost here.

can you please help or suggest something? :/

First, what kind of footage it is?
In case its H264 or any “compression codec” you will have trouble keying, especialy with the kind of footage you have(with a lot of hair around her head)even with professionnal tool, those shots are difficult.

The first thing to do is re-export your footage in 4444, prores 4444 or Animation codec will do it (not magic, but could help). In your screencap I see it in the plugin window, “reconstruction sampling”try to put it to 4444.

You shouldnt key in Premiere, do it in after effect instead, with keylight.

Before buying this pluging I will test the other included such as Ultrakey, and you should try the Keyer from Phyx not the Fast keyer…Always do your key in 100% resolution. Watch a online tutorial about keying.

Consider reshooting your talent with a tight ponytail, no hair messing around.

But you really should watch a online tutorial about keying…

    Good luck
