Problems replacing low res footage in timeline with Apple Pro Res
Hi there. I made a mistake when capturing my HDV footage for a small music vid clip and it came in using the wrong codec. I cut with it anyway thinking I could replace it within with Apple Pro Res later, now Ive tried this and have found I can not simply re batch capture my media clips ( it simply makes new ones and the cuts in the tmeline remain low res) and have exported an EDL, when I bring in the EDL im having trouble capturing footage to it.
Please help as Im sure it is something I am doing as I am more used to Avid. Had to learn final cut in a very short time and this is one thing that I am absolutely stumped on.
I would appreciate your assistance.

How did you originally capture the footage? Do you have a capture card to enable you to recapture as ProRes?
