  Problems rendering with off-line media present

  I’m having an issue where Resolve hangs and does not begin rendering when I have offline clips in my session.

  The offline (clips with a red X) clips are image files that resolve does not support, but I would like to keep them in my timeline so that I can maintain the timing of my sequence.

  This is a new problem, however, since I have had similar sessions with offline clips in them and Resolve rendered black frames instead and maintained my timeline. I have even tried rendering previous sessions that have been rendered successfully before and Resolve would hang and not begin the render.

  On a side note: if I manually remove the offline clips in the resolve conform timeline and render and XML back into Premiere I get a general import error.

  I’m currently running 8.1.1 and using an XML workflow from Premiere Pro CS 5.5.2 on a 2009 Mac Pro with OS 10.7.2
