I’m having problems reconnecting media from large files. 1 week ago, I reconnected media with no problem. I then had to remove all media from the RAID to re format or partition and then drop the files back on. I now am having problems reconnecting the media not only for that project, but another as well. I even went to the extreme to reconnecting the media to the external hard drives I backed the information to, but STILL its not allowing me to. The file names and extentions are the same, yet it is not recognizing it when the box labeled “match file name and reel” is selected. I have to select “All Files” to even be able to grab the file, then when I do, It says, ” File Attribute Mismatch”…”Some attribues of one or more of the files you have chosen do not match the attributes of the original.” Then, I’m stuck trying to reconnect one clip at a time, one by one, for over 3000 clips. I can use some advice. Thanks

Are there .mov extensions on the files on your hard drive, and in the reconnect window, are there extensions on the files FCP is looking for?

What attributes aren’t mismatched? It should tell you.

    Tyler,

You don’t say what version of software you’re using, which is crucial to trouble shooting your problem.

I’m guessing that you’re on ver 6.0. This “one at a time” reconnect issue has been documented as a bug.

    Good luck.
