  Problems Motion Tracking with 3D Text

  Hi, I’ve made a pre-composed layer of text in AE CS6 on top of some footage that’s panning from right to left. It’s text with a graded reflection that is to sit on a worktop and appear stationary as the camera pans by.

  Everything looks good. The text, reflection, light etc. But every time I motion track, I assign the info to a null object, parent the text to the null, but the tracking seems off. I even went and tracked in Mocha and imported the info to AE, but same problem. It’s like it’s moving fine in the right to left for a few seconds then starts travelling backwards on the z axis and looks completely off.

  I feel like I’ve tried everything now and I’m starting to pull my hair out!!

  Any help would be much appreciated!
