Problems installing FCP4 with OS 10.4.2
Hello, whenever I try to open my newly installed FCP 4 (I don’t think I can upgrade due to compatibility issues with other users in my group) I get the error message:
Configuration error
This software requires certain hardware or software which is missing.

What hardware are you trying to install this on? Is it an older G3?

I have a Quad, 4 x 2.5 GHz Power PC G5 running 10.4.2.
It seems like it could be a problem with the newer OS? We have an Imac in the office that is having the same problem. But this software runs fine on computers running 10.3.8
Any solutions?

I agree. I doubt it would be having trouble with the graphics card. What if you installed an older OS and tried to install FCP? I realize this is stepping backward, but you might be able to rule out hardware issues.
