  PROBLEMS importing with blackmagic

  PROBLEMS CONNECTING CARD AND DECK

  dear user
  I have a big problem:

  I have a G5 QUAD
  I bought the blackmagic HD EXTREME card.
  I rented for 2 days only a PANASONIC AJ HD1200A to capture tapes shot on VARICAM camera.

  My problem is that my FCP 6 doesnt read and get any signal.

  I am trying to DOWN CONVERT the hd tapes to SD and therefore I connected my cable on the deck into the SD SDI OUT. At the other end I have connected the cable to the HD/SD sdi INPUT.

  How should I set my fcp?
  Blackmagic PAL because is SD or Blackmagic Hd? and if so, which specific blackmagic setting? (there are quite a few as u know..)
  And also what should it be my settings on system preferences on my mac? (input and processing settings)

  can anyone help me please? I dont have much time left…

  I have tried everything without getting any video into fcp

  By the way I have installed DECKLINK 6.8.1 and I have OS X 10.4.11
