Problems importing audio track from an mppeg video file…HELP!
Hey all,
I’m relatively new to final cut pro, and I’m having a major problem. I have several mpeg video files that I need to import and edit, and unfortunately, when I import I only get the video track. The audio track seems non-existant. I have tried using quicktime to convert to another format before importing, but hte same problem keeps occuring. Why on earth is there no audio track? When I play the file back in quicktime the audio plays fine. Any help as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton!

You need MPEG streamclip. The latest version is 1.5. It’s free and does a great job.
