  • Problems editing a VOB file

I have a DVD that was given to me to use for promotional purposes.

When i open up one of the larger VOB files in Vegas they only show of as 8 seconds on the time lien rather than the 20 odd minutes that they should be.

It happens on a number of disks i recieved. Is this some sort of copy ptrotection? I’d find this weird as they were given with the intention of editing into a larger piece..

    Thanks in advance.

Try using the “File – Import -DVD Camcorder Disc” option.
It was originally meant for miniDVDs but works equally well with full-sized discs.
Be patient while the conversion takes place as, depending on the lenght of the file(s) being imported, it can take a few minutes.
