    hi,
first of all thanks for your atention.

i tried to capture with fcp from a tape recorded in hdv 720/25p. however, fcp is not able to capture the entired tape. it make cuts in the capture.
i put the tape at point and press capture now. the tape runs and the capture starts. when the take changes a window appears saying “searching for media” and generates a new clip but loosing the beginning of the take.

i hope you can help me.

    thanks

    Hi,

Is it a timecode break? or is the drive your capturing to, fast enough.

    thanks for your fast answer.

the tape hasn´t timecode break and the discs are able for the edition in fcp. in fact i work with digital betacam to 4:2:2 and the system runs correctly.
it only happens with HDV 720/25p.
    anybody had the same problem?

    thank you
