    Hi there,

I’m having a very hard time here trying to capture some footage from a DV tape into FC, using a Panasonic HVX200.

The captured footage is really bad quality and pixelated and when I import into After Effects it looks even worse!

I had captured from DV tape before using inferior quality cameras and the result was way better then what I’m getting now.

    I guess it’s a codec problem? or maybe just a user faulty…

I’d really appreciate any light coming from you guys!!

    Thanks a lot!

Thought a screenshot of the footage would help to understand.. 😉

that looks like the quality settings in AFX are not turned up. It’s DV, standard def so ya can’t really expect miracles. Also that screen is shot very dark and has a lot of shadows on it. Going to be a tricky key.
