To capture off speed material in use the 60fps capture and convert material that is ramped using the Frame Rate Converter plugin from apple/panasonic.

To my understanding this plugin only works when you capture the native dvcpohd data via firewire using the 1200 deck. Unfortunately I’ve got the older 1700 deck which haven’t got any fw connection and won’t ever get one either (as far as i’ve understood from our panasonic retailer). So I’m stuck with using hd-sdi. I do have the panasonic frc which does the conversion just fine except from the fact that it recompresses the data, which of course is just what i want to avoid..
Anyone else using the 1700 deck out there?
