Problems after 5.7.2 update. Ideas?
Awrite, was very anal & meticulous on recent upgrade. Followed all the rules and was aware of all the ‘don’t do’s’.
Will save you having to read what and get to the point.G5 Dual 2.5
2 Gigs RAM
Decklink Extreme
1 tera SATA stripped array
1 tera FW 800Was working o.k., (mostly Compressor frustration issues like everybody) ver 5.0.4, 10.4.7, QT 7.0.4 & BMD (I think) 5.6.2.
Upgrade to FC Studio 5.1.2, QT 7.1.3, OS10.4.8 & BMD 5.7.2. Now the problem: when playing seq or working in the canvas, sometimes image will display on monitor, sometimes not. I think I got it to actually play for a few seconds at one point. But that’s about it.
Wierd thing is, clips in viewer play fine on NTSC monitor.
I have SAfE play back selected. And like I said, none of this was happening before the updates.
Suggestions?

First thing to try is trashing Final Cut Pro’s preferences.
