  • Problems adjusting audio with pen and Wacom Intuos2 gfx tablet

Posted by Kris Merkel on December 2, 2011 at 4:05 pm

I am finding that it is next to impossible to adjust the audio levels in the timeline using my wacom pen and tablet, even when geared down. The function performs normally on the MBP trackpad.

I’m sure it is just a setting in my Wacom prefs that I have not found yet. Has anyone else experienced this?

Why don’t you set up one of the shortcut buttons on the tablet to “Precision mode”? It creates a frame around your cursor that takes advantage of the whole tablet to very finely adjust a small portion of the cursor on the screen.

That is a great suggestion, but, I do not have the “Precision mode” option in my system prefs for the tablet.

Does the Intuos2 not have shortcut keys? If not, my mistake.

I have the Intuos4 and I have the ability to set them like this:

I wish it did, maybe time to upgrade.

I’ve been using the Wacom Intuos 4 for almost 2 years now. I switched to Premiere from FCP7 last year… And PP doesn’t work well with the PEN tablet, period. I never had a problem with FCP, but just scrolling the timeline left-right produces some lagging movement that you have to just watch happening in front of you.

Premiere is not meant to work with the Wacom Intuos 4
