    hi i managed to convert an avi video file using a trial version of Gear Video 8.1 and have now burnt it onto dvd+rw. it plays well on a PC and also a Mac. however it won’t play properly on the dvd player thats with the TV.- it stutters and stops and starts. i need it to play on all three. please help.

    Is gear an authoring program or just video conversion? To make a DVD player compatible disc you need to author. For the PC- Adobe Encore or Sonic DVDit would do the trick.
