I’ve got a new client that shoots his footage in DVCPRO HD and edits in FCP on a DVCPRO HD Timeline. He delivers in SD, working in a DVCPRO 50 timeline. He requests his graphics from me at 720 x 480 but says they dont look as crisp on final output. Should I just be building and rendering out at 960×720? I’m not a Final Cut guy by any means and have worked very little with HD so any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if any of this is vague. He’s working on a G5 with a AJA Kona2 card.

He is most likely working in anamorphic video. You should use that setting DV widescreen 720×480.
