Problem with WAV audio in Premiere Pro
I have imported a WAV file (a soundtrack I made in Audition 2) into Premiere Pro.
The track will not play continuously in either the source or program monitor for more than a few seconds then it stops interupting the sequence and I have to activate the play button again to continue. Totally unworkable!
Any suggestions?

Is the bit depth 32 or 16? Should be 16.

It shouldn’t matter as Premiere will conform any file at the time of import. I just worked with a wav file I originally recorded as a CD project at 32 bits.

Yes audio is 16 bit – though have since played around with other possibilities – nothing is playing continuously now.Have used Mp3, AVi files etc. Have changed location of source files so beleive this has ruled out possiblity of communication problems with program and ext. HDs. Have re-insalled program and also installed different copy – no use. So think it may be problem with my computer/system.
Will investigate new virus and spyware. Fingers crossed.

Sorry maybe rookies shouldnt be so vocal! After installing a better spy ware and anti virus no more problems with playback in Premiere.
