Problem with timeline

Just drag and drop the videoFX on the specific clip (event)
you want it on…
IF you drop it on the timeline everything on the timeline
will get the effect….(hope i’m following you correctly).

no that didnt help I dont want the new changes to affect the entire timeline as I have to go back and try to correct the previous effects

Steve was saying that by placing the effect on the specific event the effect should only affect that event, not the entire track. You can place Fx at different levels. At the event level, at the track level (affects the entire track), at the output level (affects the entire project) and at the project media level (where it will affect that clip whenever you place it on the timeline)
