problem with textblocks in encore
I’ve got a question.
I made some videoclips and now I got some problems with the blocks of
text in it.
There are a few moments during the movie where the screen is black
with white letters on it.
After rendering (I’m using premiere pro) to a .AVI file everything
still works fine, all effects and textblocks.(what’s the english word
for that btw?)
Even if I burn it on dvd and play it.
I open it in encore, make a menu, than burn it on a CD..and than
something goes wrong,
in the DVD player it doesn’t show the textblocks right, it only shows
flashes of 1 second text, and it doesn’t play the effects right when
there are still images as .jpgs involved.
Is there a way to fix it? -

The simplest way to fix this is to export out of Premiere Pro as an MPEG file.
The problem is that there is an AVI export setting in Premiere Pro, called “optimize still images”, which when you take the AVI into Encore causes that program to only transcode a few frames for any non-moving images (like still images and titles). You could also turn that setting off, re-export the AVI, and bring it back to Encore, but it’s just easier to have Premiere Pro make the MPEG file.

Video on a DVD is always MPEG. Encore transcodes your AVI to an MPEG-2 file. Transcoding to MPEG-2 out of Premiere Pro actually saves you some time.
Premiere Pro and Encore share the same MPEG encoder, so there will be no difference in quality. The only thing you need to be aware of is that Encore can automatically choose what settings use in the transcoding process, because it knows how much data you’re trying to put on the disc. With Premiere Pro, you simply pick your settings, which means if you are trying to fit a lot of video (over appx. 90 min. for a single layer disc) on the DVD, you have to manage the settings more closely. This is known as “bit budgeting”.

Filming editing all by me and the person what’s it about.
This is my first time working with encore, I know how to make a menu, I know how to make seperate links and a play all function (thanks to the reader on CC).
The only thing is…the final version of the menu is quite complicated.
I’m way too chaotic to make it all work fine…there WAY TOO MUCH MATERIAL ON IT!!!
Is there a way I can send my flowchart so someone will take a look at it and create some logic in it?
To tell me how I should do it etc.?(love this forum!)
