  • Problem with spreads

Posted by Ken Kurzweil on September 16, 2023 at 11:54 pm

I created a large book where the width of the page size is the width of the entire 2 page spread. The company that I used required this. Now I want to split each one page spread into two seperate pages. Is there any way that I can do this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

You would have to create a spread page (2 pages with half of the width of your current page) and start the page number as page 2 so you can see the correct spread position as you had previously. After that, you would have to adjust manually the entire content (which should be easy if it’s just one box or if you have the content of each page group. I would also recommend you create the guides in the master pages of the left and right pages so all the content will be in the same position on every page.

Adjust document setup to double the page count, use the Page Tool to convert spreads into rectangles, then cut and paste the rectangles onto subsequent pages.
