Problem with Sorenson or AVID?
Hi,
I numerized a 24p tape in a 30fps ntsc projet (We have xpress pro hd). I didn’t know it was shot in 24p. The editing went good, but once compressed with sorenson (dvd mpg), the image is not fluid at all. Where do I start to look? with AVID where I have to pulldown in 24p (how?) or with sorenson where I can customize the settings for optimal results?
Another problem we had with sorenson (more than once), we seem unable to compress more than 11 minutes or so. “cannot find the “” file sequence. Turn off the audio”.Or something like that. Anybody has any idea how to solve this problem?
Is sorenson the best software to compress with AVID for DVD output?
What about AVID liquid? For home entertainment only or professionnal use?

If I remember correctly, the
“cannot find the “” file sequence.”
was because your version of Quicktime is too new. Sorenson won’t install or work with anything newer than about Quicktime 6.5.1They may have fixed this, but that was the story in November, 2005
