    Greetings All,
So here’s the problem, recently I’ve downloaded SVP11 the trial version, so I can test it out. The problem is when I open SVP11 and try to bring in footage that I edited on in SVP10, SVP11 crashes, or it will play a few seconds of the video then freeze. The thing is I want to test SVP11 to see the improvements that have been made. In the past when I started editing project in SVP9, I could finish the project in SVP10. I didn’t think 11 would have a problem like this.
Can somebody please tell me what I need to fix this problem so I use SVP11 and possibly upgrade to it?
    Thanks

Don’t bring in projects into 11 that you’re continuing. You do so at your own risk, which I learned, and I’ve heard other people recommend. It’s still got bugs and you’ll be stuck with it, which you may not want if you’re using the trial version. That is, unless it’s a project that isn’t important to you.

What are the specifics of the project? And what kind of computer are you running? I’ve been speaking out about all the problems I’ve had with Vegas 11 and have already switched back to 10 until those problems are fixed. Looks like you may have found another one. Report it to Sony so that, hopefully, they’ll address it if it’s a bug in Vegas with their next update.

At the rate I’m at, I wish I just stuck with Vegas 9. I got 10 as a $300 deal that would let me upgrade to 11 for free, and even then, it’s not worth it for me. Not yet.

Attached is a website that contain the specs of my computer. Although, I don’t think my computer is the issue, I thinks it a problem with Sony Vegas Pro 11.
In the past as I have said before I’ve been able to start projects in one version of Sony Vegas, and finish the project in another version of Sony Vegas. This issue is a real shock to me.
I guess for now I will have to stick with Sony Vegas Pro 10.
    Thanks,

Vegas Pro 11 also has a problem with clips using Sony Levels. I expect we’ll see 11a real soon. Or wait for 11b.

First thoughts on Vegas 11. On my high end Dell XPS 15z laptop, I am told that the graphics card is not capable of running New Blue. I am running 64bit Windows 7, using the NVIDIA GEForce 525M, which runs everything else just fine ( I also have 8 GBS RAM).

Then when I pull up V11, the program runs for a while, when I try the NBlue titler it works a bit then crashes VEgas. What little I saw of it, did not seem to be an improvement over Pro Titler.

What am I missing here? What’s NBlue capable of that PTitler isn’t? Since Vegas is now not stable, I’m sticking with 10 until 11 is stable.

10 is stable on this machine, by the way.
