Same problem as someone had 2 years ago.
    Any solution or workaround? Please…

Camcorder plugged into I-Link module plays fine but PC does not see the firewire module and won’t output from premiere.

    Please help!!!

So…what is the configuration? The two model numbers you mention are a monitor and a FW decoder board for the monitor.

Where is the camcorder configured in? Are you attempting to pass FW through the monitor to a camera somehow?

We appreciate the fact that you apparently searched for the issue to find a thread from two years ago…but, to save us some time, could you give us any additional details you can think of?

Ok. If I hook the camcorder to the monitor it outputs the signal correctly.

The thing is when I hook it up to the PC nothing happens – no ding-ding for a pnp device recognizez like when you attach an external hard drive or insert memory card or usb mouse or anything else firewire.

Therefor premiere will not output DV via FW as it does not see any device attached.

If I let’s say hook up DV->component converter which is recognized by windows right away – it will output DV – I can even feel the lag when I’m working with DV output preview.

With windows not detecting it there’s no lag and FW output system is inactive.

Funny thing – Sony support sucks.
I’ve waited 2 months for mboards for 2 monitors with updated software just to be able to use it… Bought 2 new modules and it would not work – even though manuals were saying they would.

When you connect the monitor card to the computer with cam connected to the other FW connection does it show up in My Computer under the Cam/Scanner listing?

    Nope – it does not.
