  • problem with simple inertia expression for rotation

I have a smooth slow motion on the y-axis created by an wiggle expression.
Out from this I want to have something like a simple inertia effect on the rotation of that same layer and used:
    -transform.position.velocity[1]/10

The principle works fine and is what I want. the layer rotates down when it goes up and vice versa.

The problem is that the curve of the result has spiky peaks and the movement looks not very smooth.
Here is a screenshot of that rotation curve (blue) and the linked position curve, which is smooth.

Why is this like this? What would be a smarter solution?

Thanks for any hints on that..
