Problem with QuickTime. No idea what to do now…
Hi. So simply, I use AE a lot but not for anything complicated. I used to use Xvid just for the compression really; and since it was only for youtube, the video didn’t matter much. It’s the audio that does. However, rendering this out is causing trouble for the audio since now I’m getting section of static. Sometimes even a whole 3mins of it, which is not good at all. I tried rendering in QuickTime (and I know it’s better too) but every time I do, I get this error.

I've tried a bunch of things from the internet yet I've not got it fixed. Please let me know if you have ANY ideas on how to fix it or where I can go to find out. Thanks in advance, Ak.

Is your G Drive Fat32? If yes then make sure that the final output is not more than 4096 MBs.

Basically, the G drive is a 2TB External HDD. Formatted to NTFS. There is barely anything on the video anyway so the max. file size I expect is around <2GB. Currently changing permissions and I’ll update on how that goes.
Hmm… I have a hunch it’s something really stupid and odd. I’ll get back to you on my theory after I test it out. Hopefully I can offer a solution to other people with this issue.

And I have the answer. The reason this happens is because Quicktime is somewhat awkward. This is what happened.
I have 2 HDD’s both named the same thing but on different letters. They were:
– Documents (D:) <- Personal Stuff
– Documents (G:) <- All my video stuff + Random stuff.Since their the same, it confuses one with another so now I’ve done this:
– Docs (D:)
– Documents (G:)And it WORKS! Really awkward but oh well. Gotta make sacrifices for something to work.
If you ever have the error -1610153459 , this might be the reason. Hope I helped if you needed it.

Todd, In reference to the solution for encode failure due to to many processors….I tried the work around since the HP Z820 has 32 hyper threads which QT doesnt like, I configured it for 20.
While I WAS able to export to QT DNxHD and H.264, the audio was off by about 2 frames. This was evident in a music video where bad sync is painfully apparent.
The sequence was 1920 x 1080 1.0 29.97 48K
As a PC user I cant in good faith endorse this fix.

I’m sure you’ve been all over adobe’s forums. Dave LaRonde’s stock answer seems to help a lot of people. The only way I fixed it was by completely reinstalling my OS..
