Problem with pasting keyframes from soundkeys
Hi!
I have used Sound Keys to generate keyframes from a video. The keyframes will be used for lip-synching by pasting them onto a Puppet Pin-effect at a specific range (17,5 to -10).
But when I paste the keyframes onto the Puppet Pin effect I get an error message saying “cant paste temporal data to spatial data”.
I guess it’s something fundemental I am missing. But what? How do I solve this? -

I believe that Soundkeys has a single property value while the Puppet Pin has two property values, [X,Y].
If this is true, then you’ll need to create an Expression to link the Soundkey Keyframes to either of the X or Y value of the Puppet pin effect. The Interpolation method is also ideal as it will allow you to set the resulting values within the range of (17,5 to -10). But before you use the Interpolation Method, you will need to eyeball the SoundKey keyframes to find out the minimum and maximum values. You can do this easily by looking at its Value Graph.
Unfortunately, the PC I’m on doesn’t have AE so I can’t jump in to check it out for you.
BTW, which version of AE are you using?

Thanks for your replay.
I actually found a solution by parenting the puppet pin to the output of Soundkeys. Looks like this will work. I guess it’s exactly what you are suggesting.
