Problem with OMF Download
Posted by Kevin Monahan on November 28, 2008 at 11:18 pmHi Guys,
I uploaded a 1 GB OMF file via FTP to a space on my website. Upon downloading it, the audio post house says the file just looks like a bunch of jumbled characters. I just looked at it too and saw the same thing. Can anyone help me figure out what’s going on here?

November 29, 2008 at 12:18 amYes, it has a .omf extension. It looks like this: XYZ.omf
Three capital letters and a dot omf in lower case letters. Of course there is a slash before the file name to go to the right directory on my web site.

November 29, 2008 at 3:25 amWish I could. I’m away from home for the holiday. I left the computer on so I could access it if I can find a Mac with 10.5. Any other ideas?

November 29, 2008 at 5:33 pmThanks guys. Guess I’d better blast the SF Cutters list. If anyone out there is in the Bay Area please let me know.

November 30, 2008 at 8:45 amWell, could not get back to my Mac to upload the file, so I just have the audio post house access to my website. They can use Transmit or another FTP client to log in to my site and download the file that way. Going to work like a charm.
