  • Problem with Nested sequences and rendering

Hi, I’m cutting a project in ProRes HQ, FCP 6.01

When I attempt to nest a sequence, I get the red line even if settings (the original sequence and the new one into which I am nesting the material). It’s been awhile since I’ve done nesting but I don’t recall this behavior previously.

Furthermore, if I do a render and then shorten the clip, fine, but lengthening it again asks me to re-render.

There are no motion or speed changes on the source clips in the sequences I am nesting.
So why should I have to render ?

I have no other problems with ProResHQ on this machine/sw

    Thanks,

    Sam
