  • Problem with modifying a converted object

Whenever I try to create a shape by modifying a C4D object (making editable) it doesn’t come out right. For instance, see the image attached…I want the shape on the right which has nice sharp edges (used a boolean of pyramid and cube objects). The one on the left, I made a cube editable, then selected the top polygon, sized it and moved it down. Why doesn’t it look like the one on the right? What am I doing wrong here?

You are looking at the effect of the Phong tag. Without it you see every polygon even if you want a smooth surface. In this case the it’s smoothing too much, just reduce the Phong Angle in the Phong tag.
