I’m working in premiere pro on a macbook pro and using a logitech M570 trackball. I have problems lassoing clips in the timeline – they don’t catch, lose the lasso when I start to move , and am too often it just doesn’t work. (sometimes when I zoom in very big on the timeline it works, but not always.) When I use the mouse pad on the laptop – which I don’t prefer – I don’t have any of these problems. Has anybody had this problem? know how to fix it? can recommend a trackball that doesn’t have this problem.

    premiere pro cc 10.4
    Mac OS 10.11.5

The apple mouse does work but I prefer a track ball . It’s faster and more efficient and less wear on my hand. Does anyone know why this problem exists or a way to fix it. Also seeking recommendations for a alternative trackball.
    thanks.

Have you loaded the latest drivers for that trackball, or are you relying on the default drivers from the OS? If you have not downloaded and installed the latest drivers that just might be a good thing to try.

I do have the latest drivers. It’s still a mystery.
