    hi
i hope someone can help me.
i have a laptop with intel HD 3000 controller and Nvidia GeForce GT555M.
for some reason, AE (version CC 2014, 13.2.0.49), is using the Intel HD3000 driver, and not the GPU.
and when i try to use VideoCoPilot Element3D, i get an error “Failed to initialize Open GL”.
also, in AE, in “Preferences-> Previews -> GPU information” menu, i see that the OpenGL is assigned to the IntelHD3000 instead of the GPU.

any idea how to solve this?
how to “Force” AE to work with the Nvidia GPU instead of the Intel HD?

In your power settings, you may be able to pick which GPU is running. If all else fails, you may need to disable the one you don’t want in the BIOS. This means your laptop will overall have worse battery life, but you’ll be able to use Element.
