Problem with importing Finalcut Pro XML file
I try to import a XML file exported with Finalcut Pro into Premiere and got this error message: “The importer reported a generic error”
The file is exported with FCP XML exporter version 4 and I use Premiere Pro CS6 v6.0.0 -

no one knows any way? I also tried XML v5 and it still appears the same error!

There is a problem when trying to XML from FCP and there are Multiclip Audio in the timeline. However this only seems to drop the audio edits translating into that sequence.
Can you describe the type of FCP project you are trying to XML out?

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried exporting an XML with just video and still get the error message. I was successful with one try, but with lots of dropped transitions and filters.
