problem with grid effect.
good evening.
I’m creating rain drops with trapcode particular 2.I created new solid, added “grid”, and im using it for floor plane.
obviously that the grid soild is 3D.the problem is – ONLY the Y position is working.
if ill scale the soild down/up or move it right/left – nothing happens.
the only things the effects on the comp is the Y position(down and up).why???
its messing up the entire scene.
help please. -

Try precomposing the grid solid.

I guess we need more specific information.
I’m assuming you tried this with the grid effect disabled, so it’s a Particular issue.
Are you looking at the active camera that you created? Are you in a top view, or a custom view?Got a screengrab?

i dont think so. the Particular respond to the grid (to the Y position)

ok, here is what Im trying to do Steve:

the thing is, I need to scale the grid up.after few second in the scene the camera will rotate 180:

Can I get a screencap of the AE project, timeline, comp window? I want to see what effects are applied, cameras, that sort of thing.

tried to DEL the ALL comp, left only with the background picture, grid and the raid drops – STILL not working.
by the way, as you can see the “fast preview” is very low detailed, although its on FULL, any idea why?
when Im rendering the comp to the pc the its full quality. only the fast preview looks bad. -
