I’m a newbie to AE. Trying to get through Andrew’s tutorials. Started with freeze effect using time remapping. I’m doing step by step per tutorial, but get a bug every time.

I enable time remapping on the layer I’m using.
I set a key point on freeze point. I set a key point at end of footage. I set a key point 1 frame to the right of first key point. I select the second and third key points I placed and slide them to the right.

This all works just peachy, BUT everytime I do it, approx. half way through the frozen part, it will move forward one frame.

I have done, re-done, new comp, re-boot, etc. I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Steve, have you found the answer to the problem yet? I did a freeze effect not long ago and had the same problem. Let me know if your still having the problem.

    Thanks for checking in.

Yes I ended up finding a solution, that was actually posted on this site. (I just had to dig for a while to find it).

All that needed to be done was to right click the first key frame in the freeze sequence and select ‘Toggle Hold Keyframe’. Problem solved!

    Hope that helps you.
