Problem with FCP playback
We had been editing several sequences when suddenly, the playback in the canvas started skipping frames. We’ve checked that the playback frame rate is correct; we’ve restarted FCP and the computer several times- to no avail. We still have enough HD space and processing power. Can anyone give us a clue as to what is happening?

Give us:
Sequence settings: XDCAM, P2, PRORES, UNCOMPRESSED HD 8/10 bit?
Clip properties: XDCAM, P2, PRORES, UNCOMPRESSED HD 8/10 bit ?
Type of storage: Firewire , SATA, fibre etc
Type of Mac ?In short. MORE INFO!!

Make sure you turn Airport off.
