  • problem with export from final cut to beta

I have a problem during the export from final cut 7 to betacam sd

I work with e mac pro (10.5.6) and I use a blackmagic decklink 7.9 to export my final project on beta sd

My problem is that always after few minutes (5 or 10 generally) I have one frame of black and than the export return to be normal.
So every time I must stop the export and restart one frame before the black frame.

The black frame is associated with a audio signal.

I really don´t know what this can be.

Post your sequence settings, and post the clip properties of the source material – audio and video… if you suspect the audio is causing the error, a fix might be to export the sequence as a self contained movie file and lay that to the tape.

Be sure too to mix down the audio tracks before the layout.

    Hello Jerry
    thank you for the answer.

    My sequenze settings are

    video:
    frame size – 720×576
    aspect ratio – CCIR 601/dv pal (5:4)
pixel aspect ratio – pal – ccir (720×576) anamorf on
    field dominance – upper odd
    editing timebase – 25
quicktime video settings – mpeg imx 525/50

    audio:
    rate 48khz
    depth 16bit
    config – channel gouped

The clip that I work with are Xdcam files MPEG IMX 525/50 interlaced, 25 frame, upper field.
The audio of the clip is the same of the sequence.

The black frame and the accoustic signal like something do a wrong contact is generated not only when I export but also when I am editing.

I render the project but I never do a mix down so i can start from here.

In my project I also use video imported by beta with the same settings of the xdcam clip.

The beta is connected in compontent and everything works well exept this small problem

    Hi Egene,
I would export an self contained movie and bring it back to FC for printing.
