Problem with Event FX
Hi, usually when I add and Event FX to a clip, a window pops up that allows me to edit the FX.
However that window no longer pops up for me. Is there any way to make the window appear again?

It is probably either:
a) docked into one of the various window docking areas. Check among your Video FX, Media Generator, etc windows. All of the dockable windows (including the Video Event FX window) have a vertical line of six dots in the upper left corner; click and drag that line to undock the window.
b) undocked and floating somewhere you can’t see it. Maybe on another monitor if you have more than one or way at the bottom of the screen hiding under your Windows taskbar. You can click and drag the top edge of the taskbar down to see if your FX window is under there.

Sometimes a window gets hidden off the monitor, if it’s a secondary monitor, you can deselect “extend desktop to this monitor” temporarly
to get it back in the primary monitor, then re-enable the second monitor. If it’s off the edge of the primary monitor, you can temp change the resoultion to get it back in view. Hope this helps, Danny Hays -
Thanks for the replys, but unfortunately they didn’t work.
I messed around with the resolution for a while but the Window never appeared.
I also don’t have any secondary window option enabled, so that didn’t work either.

Try holding down ctrl + shift while launching Vegas. This resets all the settings to default settings.

Wow, I thought for sure that would work. Thanks for the great advice but that did not work either.

Looks like you need a reinstall. Uninstall and delete the Sony Vegas folder, then reinstall. Danny Hays

So it let you enter your serial number right? Does the effects window show up now?
