I put a project together in Vegas, and at the end of the project after the last picture I put text onto a black background, and used the pan-zoom tool to roll the text up the screen while I recorded it verbally onto an audio track. I rendered it as mpeg2/DVD-NTSC. I play it back and it is fine. I put this into DVDA3. I put it onto the main menu along with 3 other projects. The thing is, after I rendered in DVDA3, and I play the rendered project, and I click on that specific program from that one project on the screen, it plays all the way through the program, but when it is finished with the last picture of that program, it goes back to the main menu like it is suppose to do. But, it doesn’t play that scrolling text and my voice recording at the end of the program , before it goes to the main menu. Any reason why it doesn’t render all of it? I can go to DVDA3, pull up this project, and click on that one, and play it back on the timeline, and it goes all the way through all of it. It is just when it is rendered/burned onto a disc that it doesn’t record the way you would think.

What happens when you preview the disc behavior in DVDA3?

What exactly do you mean by “preview disc behavior in DVD3”? If I double click on that project on the menu, it loads in the timeline, and it plays all the way through, everything plays.

When I preview disc it is not there, it ends with the last picture, but if I click on it and bring it up on the timeline it is there. Any idea?

If you have the credits as a separate clip, have you set the End action of the main movie to link to the credits clip?

I don’t have the credits as a seperate clip, it’s a part of the project. It just happens to be the last frame of the project.

When you say the last “frame” – presumably it’s longer than that.

As Gary said, does it work ok in Preview within DVDA?

No, when I play it in preview, it isn’t there. But it is viewable in the timeline, when I load it in the timeline.

And on the timline, your endpoint (yellow) flag is all the way to the end of the media?

Gary, I went down to the timeline, and for some reason the yellow flag at the end was not all the way to the end. I dragged it all the way to the right, then got back to the main screen, and did a preview, and this time it played. Don’t know what that has got to do with it, but thanks for you patience. It’s sometimes hard for us, that are not so deeply into these programs as some of you guys are, to understand exactly what we are doing wrong, or not doing right. I believe that the only way to learn, is to work at it, and to ask questions to those who do know. So as for saying that, you guys have my deep appreciation, and admiration for answering our questions, having patience, and understanding.
    Thanks
    Steve
