  • Problem with Cookie cutter Jerky video

I have seen reports about this problem but not seen any solutions

Just to refresh If I make a video of a single time line everything it perfect…. If I make a video with two Video time lines the end result after rendering has a type of jerky frame effect. I am not talking about the Preview window… but after it has been rendered.. So If I try and make a video where I have used the Cookie cutter so that it shows part of the second time line, the end rendered result seem to miss every other frame..

I have tired to Render the original MPEG from my cam to AVI and use both avi videos but it does not seem to make any differnce.. Any Ideas?? Thanks

I would report this to Sony. They may want to have the veg file. I have seen the same problem with Sony Fill Light. Sometimes it works fine and some times it rapidly turns on and off for no reason. 🙁

Hello . Thanks for your reply.. I have also tried my original verion 9a but it does not make any differnce…….I updated to 9d a while ago and it it only recent that I needed to try the cookie cutter to run 2 video timelines at the same time. I can’t beleve I am the only person who has got this problem… There must be some settings that I have not found which overcomes this. I have also tried the MASK to provide a see through area of the first TIME line video but makes not differnce.

Hello all… Well I did eventually find the solution.. The problem was that in the Properties of the video clip I had not DISABLED RESAMPLE.. After doing that and using the 2 * AVI Files the jerky video is now smooth. When the 2 identical timelines where played at the same time all was OK … it was only when I off-set them for the differnce parts of the video I saw this problem

I have noticed that if I went one frame at a time.. on some frames it would show the same frame for 4 frames.. When I diabled the Resample, it changed with every frame

Hope this may help someone else
