Problem with Captured Footage
I have just brought Avid Express 5.7, running on PC windows XP pro service pack 2. Intel Core 2 CPU 6320 @1.86 GHZ 1.86 GHZ 1.00GBRam.
In capture the footage seems to be going in.
But when I go to play back the footage the following message appears
Exception:ADV Audio Dev failed to set DIO Audio Sample Rate
But it does let me scan through the footage.
Now ever since that error message has a appear my system reports a error to my deck
There seems nothing wrong with the hardware, as my camera appears in the My computer. Also I have made sure the camera connected before I open Avid.
Also I have managed to capture footage through my Nero.
I have also tried Importing the footage I captured through Nero, Now Avid seems to import it fine into one of the Bins, you click onto the footage and a picture of the first frame appears but you go to play it a the following Exception comes up:
Exception:PMDIO_Outputmod:Prepare -failed to add stream_FTStatus code-FT_Invalid stream_falmethrower OHCI Transmit Link::Add stream_steamintialization failed.
This is the same message I have when I try play back the footage I capture through Avid.
If any one could please help I would be most grateful.

What video card are you using? What CPU are you using? You’re a little low on the RAM (Avid likes 2gb).

Has your system ever run Avid? Take a look at these specs:

It looks like your graphics card is OK, but but pay attention to the computer details. If it’s not exactly what Avid specifies, you will run into problems.
Also, make sure you have the correct version of QT for the software you are running. Make sure auto updates are turned off in the OS, and if you have iTunes installed, turn off the ‘go get the latest/greatest version of Quicktime’ button.

It did a early verison,
But since then I had to change my mother board which in turn my firewire socket at the front of the computer, had to be moved to the back to a 3 socket hub, as the new board didnt have the connection.
I check the requirments and the one thing that looks a bit wrong is the Qualified IEEE -1394 firwire port.
On my system its is a NEC OHCI Complaint IEEE 1394 Host Controller.
Could this be the problem

It very well could be – the specs are pretty specific on a TI FW controller.
Has this system ever captured footage (in it’s current state)?

It hasnt capture before in this state,
I brought a ADS PYRO PCI card install it a still the same problem.
In capture the footage seems to be going in.
But when I go to play back the footage the following message appears

When I disconnect my dv camera I can play the footage fine without the error message NOt sure what this means.
The problem now is ever since that error message appeared Avid says there a error with my deck.
