  • Problem with burning DVD with chapter points! HELP!

Posted by Mikescola on July 30, 2007 at 7:36 pm

I have tried burning DVDs with chapter points that auto-start (no menu) twice now on Premiere and the DVD’s burned but there were no chapters in them (when tried on the TV). But the preview DVD before you burn it has them in it.

Is there something I’m doing wrong in the settings?

    Is it a bug?

Please let me know ASAP! I have a project deadline today and any insight would be wonderful…

BTW — we are not using Adobe Encore because we’ve had so much quality loss with the project already, encoding it again would be a terrible idea. VRO -> Matrox AVI -> MPEG -> VOB … terrible looking isn’t it!

Have you tried previewing the DVD in a DVD-software, rather than on TV? What about a different DVD player?

How did you try on your dvd player? you use whats called the skip or next/previous buttons to advance chapters

Could you tell us more about your editing workflow?

    1. Did you originate in Mini DV?
    2. Did you use a capture card/accelerator Like a matrox RTX card?
    3. What is VRO?
    4. Did you use the Adobe Media encoder to make an MPEG2 video?
    5. If you worked in DV did you consider exporting a DV AVI file and import that into Encore?

You see I’m an Encore user and I just know that this program will work for you if you start with the right materials!

    Nate
