March 3, 2008 at 10:48 pmI rolled back to the earlier version and the Timeline Speaker icon is still grayed out.
Camera is a Sony Digital HDV
Here’s is a screenshot of what I’m seeing.

March 6, 2008 at 12:09 pmJust out of curiosity, what model is your camera (EX-1, etc.)? Specifically, have you digitized audio from this camera before?

March 8, 2008 at 6:09 pmHi Jon,
It looks like I got my problem taken care of. It looks like my predecessor who changed the set up of the system before he left had an Mbox plugged in, which was cancelling out my sound card in Avid. I simply unplugged the Mbox (which I have little use for) and the Avid sound returned. Thanks for your help. I’ll probably be back with more questions soon, now that I have this solved!!

March 8, 2008 at 10:12 pmIt’s always something simple! Believe it or not, I was really racking my brain over this one. I’m glad you figured it out!
