  Problem with a Canon HDV 1080i XHG1 camera

  We have a Canon HDV 1080i XHG1 camera for our small office . Each time we use it, the footage either has got showers and or the colour is not as good as I would want it to be. For example, if there is a red curtain, the colour is not rich enough. I am sure that there are settings that I am not getting right. Can somebody please help me with the right settings so that I can get the best possible picture and sound quality from my camera. I understand that it is a good camera.
