Problem reproducing video in VEGAS… what’s wrong with the codec?

Use File | Render As… select Video for Windows (*.avi) as the encoder and select a template that is close to what you want. Then press the Custom… button to open the template editor and on the Video tab change the Video Format to the codec you want to use. In your case it would be x264vfw.
I have a tutorial on my web site on how to create a custom template using CineForm. Just select x264vfw instead of CineForm and you should be set. Here is a link:

May 30, 2012 at 3:17 amYou may want to monitor their forums for changes on this. They were supposed to roll out a better fix sometime in the current quarter, but to be honest, their communication has gotten so bad (and my patience is seriously declining) that I really have no sense at present whether they are on track to any kind of fix at all.
Bottom-line, I have no way to predict whether or not the SSL uploader will continue to be supported. I suppose the most practical way to test would be to occasionally do a test comparison. Frankly, they are really getting on my last nerve at this point.
